Could it be an allergic reaction to something?

Hellamegafuckup · 08/05/2023 18:24

I get that after exposed to sun , they can be itchy

Letsdance8188 · 08/05/2023 18:28

I had rashes on my fingers and inside my elbows that looked identical to that, and a relative was convinced I had scabies. It turned out it wasn't (I can't remember exactly what it was but it comes back when I'm stressed) and I was prescribed a cream which got rid of it within a few days.

Molluscum?

Ridingthegravytrain · 08/05/2023 18:54

Dishydrotic eczema?

mrsbear81 · 08/05/2023 19:03

I had this exactly the same place last night went to bed scratching woke up it's gone. Id been out in the sun all day. I'm putting it down to allergy to sun or something if touched

I used to get eczema as a child on the inside of my elbows, that looks very similar. It was horrible and itchy and eventually I was prescribed a steroid cream which cleared it up, I grew out of it by the time I was a teenager.

The spots on his finger look like dermatitis, I used to get contact dermatitis (which is also a form of eczema) on my fingers but that was a result of being in contact with some harsh cleaning chemicals at work when I was in my 20s. The little blisters would itch and then the skin would dry up and flake.

I'd recommend having a chat with a pharmacist as a starting point.

WildflowerForager · 08/05/2023 19:23

It looks like contact dermatitis to me too.

Hellamegafuckup · 08/05/2023 19:29

Thank you that makes me feel a bit better. I will speak to the pharmacist tomorrow and get some advice.
