Anyone know anything about iPhones charging?

Had an iPhone 12 for a few years

I noticed today it seems to be blipping. It showed me the 10% charge remaining and popped up 3 times while it was on ten percent, even after I cancelled it

It dropped to 1% so I locked it went to grab my charger, looked back at it before plugging it in and it had gone up to 3%? How odd. Never had this happen before and can’t find anything out online about it. Any ideas? Thank you

Your battery might be losing its capacity due to age. They have a finite number of charges.

Go into Settings>Battery>Battery health & charging. Then check what the percentage is for ‘maximum capacity’. I was told in the Apple Store that it should be above 85% ideally or you might need a new battery.

Would also check the charge port isn’t filled with lint from your pocket, a plastic toothpick works well to pry it out
