Leeds festival day ticket - good fun or rubbish?

We're considering taking DS12 to Leeds festival to see one of the headline acts - they'll be playing at around 9pm.

Will this be good fun or rubbish? I suppose I'm worried about awful toilets, drunk people, and DS being tired. I've been to lots of festivals before, but not Leeds festival. TIA!

You've been to loads of festivals so know what you're facing

Only you know whether ds will tire early 🤷‍♀️

My local-ish knowledge of Leeds festival is it's ok during the day but gets nasty at night, so no, I don't think I'd take mine past 9pm I'm afraid

I’ve been to festivals before and love it, but Leeds always seems to have a nasty undercurrent particularly as it gets later on.

Thanks everyone - yes, I've heard some things about Leeds festival that are making me worry a bit about it.

Me and a friend went a few years ago for the day. Both in our late 40s at the time so felt very old. Stayed until the headline act and left immediately after. Didn't notice anything untoward tbh although surprised by the number of girls sat on shoulders happy to flash their boobs 😮 and also wished we'd remembered where we'd parked the car (tricky to find in a dark field at 11pm).

Thanks @Samphiredragonfly.

While I think it would probably be OK, I'm not sure whether we'd have a great time really. We've got some other things booked that I think DS will love.
