Is Croatia expensive for eating/drinking

Seen a really nice holiday and flight and accomodation reasonable but just wondering if day to day expenses would be a lot?

I found it about the same as anywhere else - not particularly expensive. And bizarrely, ice cream was super-cheap - there were lots of lovely ice cream shops and a huge scoop was about £1. This was last year. I absolutely loved Croatia, cat wait to go again.

In short, yes. I was really taken aback at the prices last summer. We were in Split, Dubrovnik and Korcula. It was more expensive to eat and drink than London, Paris etc. It is beautiful though, so, you know....

We would be self catering - any ideas what supermarket prices are like?
