Not a discussion whether its right or wrong as I think we all know the answer to this. My ex works shifts so I do about 70pc custody. He has our child 2 weeknights and 1 weekend a month- this isn't 1 in 4 but one a month so can be 6 weeks or so between weekends. I was talking to my friend about how this is actually an improvement as he's no longer single so is doing more. She said most men she knows who are divorced don't want 50/50 and will often cream off the best weekends and days then give the ex the rest. Surely that's not normal?!?

That does seem to ring true. They want the best weekend but not the during the week drudgery.

Hotfuninthesummertime · 08/05/2023 10:55

He's very picky about weekends aswell ie wants them free.

I always forgot that mens social lives and their jobs are more important than women's.

yup, that’s my experience.

My social and work circles are different.

In the latter men do this. In the former they are too afraid to admit trying it. 😂

AllOrNothingSituation · 08/05/2023 15:07

I dont know but my ex won’t even have the kids overnight so could be worse 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hotfuninthesummertime · 08/05/2023 20:40

Are men just programmed to be less arsed ? My ex hasn't seen him in over a week and no messages to ask if he's OK!
