Hairdresser question

Price quoted was £170.

I was charged £20 for a deposit and then £175 on the day for the hair, so in total I paid £195. Does this sound right to you, as I thought the deposit would go towards the colour price?

I'd have assumed it would have been deducted from the total so would have been £150.

Did you question it?

No, that doesn’t sound right.
I recently booked a cut online and they took a deposit, but that amount was taken off my total when I paid on the day.
Unless they took the deposit and then Told you it will be £170 to pay, meaning they had already mentally deduct he deposit amount.
Did you not query it when you were paying?

Honestly I wasn’t even thinking straight at the time, the deposit was paid about a month beforehand and it’s my first time visiting this salon. After my hair was done, I had to rush home with a low phone battery. But then it slowly dawned on me! I can contact the salon though.

Was that what was quoted to you when you paid the deposit? I wonder if it's a general price but could alter depending whether you have longer or thicker hair? Either way I'd query it though.
