Can anyone tell me where my paintbrushes are?

As the title says, I want to start decorating tomorrow. Looked for the paint brushes today but can’t find them. Dh has not been any use.
Where could they be? I also have a paint tray, the type to fit a roller in. That is hiding with the brushes.
Any ideas wise Mumsnetters?

Under the sink/ in the garage/ in a garden storage box / in the shed

On top of a wardrobe

or maybe thrown out as, after decorating last time, you were too knackered to wash them.
