What would you do if your partner called you a fucking idiot

Context please.

If he called me a fucking idiot in a joking manner while we were mucking around and I'd done something silly, I'd laugh.

If he called me it when I'd made an innocent mistake and he was angry, I'd be concerned.

If he was referring to me as this to other people, I'd be thinking about packing his bags.

You've titled this "abuse." So I think it needs context in order to get the right kind of answers for you

it was because I wouldn’t park where he told me to …he said it in anger hence why I put abuse

Call him one back? But then I'm not someone who thinks every little thing is abuse unless there's more to it

13 years of abuse if you read my other threads …sometimes I just need other ppls opinion even though I know the answers difficult unless you have been through it …I’ve left now but it’s crazy I feel so sad

There's not always. People on here class partners shouting as abuse. So if you are no longer together then why does it matter what it was?

You don’t understand me so I’m not going to even try and explaine all I will say is what I said in the last post I’m hurting I feel sad and alone …..plus I’ve only just left him so yes my feeling still matter

I would consider it abusive if said in anger and because you hadn’t done what he said/done something how he wanted you to.

You asked what others would do with no context so yes I would call him one back ...

And shouting is abuse verbal abuse as is calling someone a fucking idiot the context is in the title
