Do Australian DVDs work in the UK?

Just what the title says. I have never got my head around regions etc.

If I bought a DVD from Australia would it play on my English DVD player?

Any answers will be much appreciated 😀

It depends what regions the DVD states it is and also on the settings of the DVD player

It depends on the DVD player. Some are region free so should work in that case.

We have lots and continue to buy UK dvd’s and they play fine here in Aus.

We have two players of different brands and there is the odd example that prefers one machine over the other but I don’t think that’s a region problem.
