Gag reflex = vomiting. Age thing?

I'm 42 and peri.
Lately my gag reflex is ridiculous. Taking the rubbish out (I live in flats so communal bins), the smell made me vomit on the pavement. Watching IACGMOOH food trials made me retch (I've never done this before). Even getting moderately out of breath makes me retch enough that I'm sometimes then sick.

No other symptoms, just the slightest thing makes me retch/vomit. Wondering if it's hormone related?
