Ds is training as a policeman. He's been doing it just over a year. He had to work in London last night to do with the coronation. It was a 14 hour shift. Walking about for hours. He finshed 8am this morning time he got home it was around 9.30am. He woken up at 5pm. Had to leave home at 7pm . For another shift. Feel really bad for him. He said during that 14 hour they only got 1 break he managed to grab a mc donalds but that's all he had in 14 hours.

He said he grabbed a a few bits from fridge just to eat quickly vas he did not feel up to cooking and did not want to rush . Really hope uts an easy shift for him tonight.

Sounds about right unfortunately. I did my police training 20 odd years ago and did some big central London events, and did long days with little breaks. Do they do have the tea/snack wagon (teapot 1) out? We used to get a basic packed lunch during the day and occasionally a bit of hot breakfast before, but nothing too substantial. We used to slip off to MacD's or similar when we had a chance.
