Neighbours think I have their parcel

We had a delivery this morning of 3 parcels all for me from Evri. Within 30 mins a man appeared at the door saying Evri had left a card saying they had delivered a parcel for their address to us. I explained that this hadn’t happened. Now his wife has just appeared at the door challenging me about this. I offered to show her the names on the 3 parcels but she refused.

Any ideas what to do next. I don’t want aggro with neighbours - I’ve never met these people before and don’t know which house they live at but they were a bit aggressive. Evri can definitely prove they delivered parcels to my address today but they were mine not the neighbours!

Im not sure theres anything more you can do. Did the Evri driver take photos of the delivery?, if so you could show the neighbour the photo, but that wont help if theyve only ordered something small that could fit into one of your boxes.

Take photos of your three labels.. then move on.. their missing parcel is not your problem.

Did they show you the card the delivery company put through their door saying their parcel was with you? Tell them to sort it out with the company.

It's weird that they've had a note saying it's with you - can see why they think you have it on that basis. But it's not your responsibility - you've said you don't have it snd offered to show them your labels, nothing else you can do. They'll have to take it up with Evri!

just tell them you dont have it and they needto sort it out with the company directly

That's odd. Have they got your house Humber confused? I agree with PPs to take photos of the parcels you got in case they raise it again later but then put it out of your mind unless they say anything.

Something similar happened to someone in the next town. Evri given them a picture of them handing over their parcel at a door. They put the pic up in the local Facebook page asking if anyone knew the door. The lady whose door it was, was honest with the person saying it was her door but that it was her parcel and she had the same delivery picture on her email. Evri were being lazy and fraudulent.

Could be a scam.
They might not even be your neighbours. They could be trying on the off chance you took in a parcel for someone else at the same time as your own. So they could steal it.

When i send things with Evri, they send me a photo of where the parcel was delivered to?
