Y2 SATS

If a child misses the SATS due to not being at school, will they be made to sit them when they go back?

I'm not a fan of SATS, my DC isn't well today and I think they're planned for next week.

To me it's not the end of the world missing them completely, but I wondered if they make them do them another time?

They can be administered any time in May so yes she likely will.

In Y2 they are just an assessment tool though, less pressure and often done in smaller groups. They’ll be used to doing similar assessment as they’ll have done lots of other things like this to familiarise themselves, it’s not a high stakes test like the Y6 ones are - you really don’t need to worry.

We have the while of May to administer tests, so whenever a child returns after time off we will administer the papers.
