Just need somewhere to vent. Ds in hospital under observation. He's got bronchitis. Is o2 stats are OK just really noisy breathing with a few episodes of not being able to breathe. Told they can get worse before they get better. Ment to be going away to get married on Monday wedding is Saturday. I'm ment to make the cake and still have finishing bits left to do. Pretty sure I'm just panicking.

Can anyone tell me how long your wee one was in for if they had it?

Bumping for you op.

Hope your little one is on the mend soon and your wedding goes ahead without any further worries.

Oh dear - like the pp, I hope your son gets better very soon and your wedding goes ahead. It must be very stressful for you, but this is out of your control. Just go with it - little 'un is the priority and it will all turn out okay in the wash. x

Dd was 9 months, admitted in the early hours of a Wednesday and discharged home on the Monday morning.

I hope he feels better soon OP.

How old is he? The fact he isn’t needing oxygen is good.

is the wedding Uk or abroad?

Teapotmonkey · 05/05/2023 17:54

Hope your son gets better soon. As for the wedding - the object of the day is to end up married. If that happens, it’s been a success and all the other noise around it (cake, favours, etc.) is just stories and making memories. Best of luck with both

Sorry to hear about your DS.

My little one had a few bouts of this when she was younger, 4 nights in hospital was the longest we were in.

Hope he gets better soon.

Blackpuppy · 05/05/2023 18:36

He's 15 weeks.
I know the wedding isn't everything. I'm just worried about it all. The loss of money. The honeymoon ect.
The fact he's not well. Pretty sure I'm just panicking but there's nothing else to do 🤣 wedding is a 10 hour drive from here

Hope you had a good night. Been thinking of you.

He's still not on any oxygen. Had some blue inhaler which seemed to really help. Still a bit wheezy but he's got a floppy larynx so is always wheezy

Thelonelychicken · 06/05/2023 10:32

Just the doctors and they are going to see how he is this afternoon before deciding anything hopefully yesterday was his dip in getting worse and now on the slow mend

DoneByWeds · 06/05/2023 11:20

Good sign that he is not on oxygen.
It's hard to watch, I understand why you hated the drip procedure. My daughter was on a feeding tube that she kept trying to pull out.
I felt that life was going on around me, while I was in some type of limbo. There is nothing you can do but wait and be there for him.
Hugs
