I see this every day on my way to work and it really annoys me. It's an app that presumably makes your travel organisation easier, right? And yet the women look very much like they about to miss their train.

I mean, it's making me think about it, which is a good thing in advertising terms. But they're not positive thoughts...

I'm right, aren't I ? Grin

Run, Sue! And hold the bloody doors!

Doesn't shout, "This is just the thing you need to organise your travel."

IglesiasPiggl · 05/05/2023 08:26

There's another one, same picture, but it says "Travel if you dare", as if it's some kind of treacherous mission. Again, not a good look!

WarningToTheCurious · 05/05/2023 08:32

The TV ad is just as bad - all about how travel is difficult and stressful. Really puts you off wanting to even get off the sofa.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 05/05/2023 08:41

"yes it's cheap, but you'll need the athleticism of a 100M Olympic sprinter to make your connection at Edinburgh Waverley because we booked you on a stopping service from Kings Cross"

It got you walking about it You even reposted it online. If you remember the name then of the product and are taking about it then the ad has achieved its aim.

If an ad doesn't appeal to you, odds are you aren't the target audience. These things are - generally - tested before production.

Do you work in advertising?Grin
Yes, the OP is "talking about it" but she, and the other respondents, are saying that it's putting them off the product. There is such a thing as bad publicity.

btw, has anyone else noticed that Tesco have rejigged that weird emoji-face advertisement. Feedback obviously got through.
