Help me spend a voucher?

It was my birthday today and one of the lovely gifts I received was a £40 Amazon voucher. Under strict instructions to treat myself but I'm all out of ideas!

If you had £40 to spend on something from Amazon what would you choose?

Books, probably.

Oh dear, I hate when people give gifts with ”strict instructions” imposed! Amazon vouchers are more for practical items vs treats. Are there any tech or household items you need? If not, I’d struggle to find anything considered a “treat” on Amazon. Even things like beauty items could be counterfeit. Could you possibly use the voucher on groceries and then use the money saved to spend on your “treat” elsewhere?

Books and a nice candle for me

If it was me I would consider any of the following:
Gin (specifically Wild Island Sacred Tree)
5pk Space Masks
Bobbi Brown Face Base
Benefit brow pencil & Gimmie brow gel

Gin, jewelry, pictures, things for the garden, books.... Amazon sells pretty much everything!

Spend the money on something you need for the house, then use the money you would have spent somewhere else

I would go for garden stuff especially a nice big pot. That would be a treat for me as l would enjoy it all Summer and beyond.

Books, alcohol, nice things for house

Firstly there's no rush, they last 10 years and Amazon is unlikely to go bust, rendering your voucher a worthless string of letters numbers.

If you don't have a Kindle, one of those?

I've got a bottle of Brockmans orange kiss gin on its way from there right now. That was on offer at £28, reduced from £34.

If I had a £40 voucher I'd probably use the rest up on kindle books I wanted as they came up at 99 p.

But if there's something you want from elsewhere, you could spend it on groceries, batteries or pretty much anything and spend the £40 on yourself from somewhere else.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Happy birthday @Grumpyat40

I would go for
The fluffiest dressing gown
Pj's
Bath smellies
And a bottle of wine

( I may need to add some £s to the voucher 😄)
Then I would hang a "Do not disturb " sign on the bathroom and bedroom doors and use all of them in one very self indulgent evening
