NHS admin job interview question

I work in the nhs and it’s always been the case that the successful applicant gets called day off interview for offer and everyone else gets called the next day (once successful candidate has accepted). If you’re in an admin/non clinical role (B7) did you have the same?

I had an interview this morning and really felt it went well but I’ve not heard so I’ve got that sinking feeling. The application process is demanding and I’m drained emotionally and mentally. The chance it’ll be positive is slim isn’t it?

Sometimes candidates are unable to attend on the day that the majority of candidates are interviewed. But as an interviewer, I would usually say when I was going to call at the end of the interview with each candidate.
I hope you get good news.

Thank you @B1rd
To be fair, they did say early next week but my experience is they say that for wriggle room and tell the successful candidate the same day. I’m clinging to a glimmer of hope because I’d be really good in the job and really saw myself doing it but the decision isn’t mine to make.

For a band 7 role then they should be taking their time - so it’s not necessarily a worry that you haven’t heard yet.

And not to worry if it is a no, because you can ask for feedback.
