28 weeks pregnant - excessive weeing - help!

Not a wee troll. Just a 28 week pregnant woman who has wee'd 18 times in 2 hours.

I just want to sleep. Surely 18 times is not in the realms of normal??

I have other issues down below that I won't bore you with, and did dare to have a coffee and a full fat coke today. I'm away on holiday and thought I'd treat myself. Won't do that again.

Someone please tell me that whilst I'm sure I'm quite well that 18 times in 2 hours is a fucking joke?

Baby swimming around on my bladder not helping.

Urgh.

I remember those days of being headbutted on the bladder. Just wait til the head engages and grinds around!

I presume you've been checked for gestational diabetes? Frequent weeing can be normal, or can be a sign. Ask your midwife if you're concerned

Thank you, glucose tolerance test next week. I haven't really had caffeine since falling pregnant, I think this is my punishment.

This is number 2; I genuinely don't remember being this fucking uncomfortable this early on with my first!

I am very very grateful for this baby after some losses, but Jesus I've just been for my 19th wee of the night and this really does take the piss now. Will I ever sleep again??

Update. Am on 24 times and now am in a bit of pain. Should I be worried?

Sounds like a possible urine infection. 111 or GP in the morning. Hope you feel better soon!

Are you sure it’s wee and not your waters leaking? Just saying in case.

Itsjustsuchamagicaltime · 04/05/2023 01:04

It feels like wee. Bladder pressure etc. baby moving around loads. I am 2000 miles away from home so 111 not an option!

This happened to me and it was a UTI. Put on a pad just incase to make sure you're not leaking though, If you are go to the nearest maternity triage. Keep an eye on movements also.

Thanks all. Am not in a position to go anywhere, hospital wise, just wish I could sleep and stop weeing! Have had a big drink of water against my better judgement, just need to try and sleep and hope alls ok in the morning!

You shouldn't ignore a possible UTI it can lead to issues. I presume you have taking health insurance. Use it, a quick urine test and it's sorted.
