Would you do this Sussex commute?

I want to buy a house in Lancing, but partners new job is at Ardingly. Would need be be there by 830 and return at 530.

Google maps is estimating 35-50mins - is that realistic? Or would this be a total nightmare?

TIA

That’s a fairly short commute.

Shouldn’t be too bad, although I’d probably err on the 50 minute side as there can be quite a bit of traffic (and so many traffic lights everywhere at the moment!)

There are a few possible routes so it would be a matter of finding the best one at those times (not necessarily what Google maps say…)

If he's happy driving, it's not an awful commute. There are several route options.

It's less then 25 miles so easy commute. Allow 50 mins as there can be a lot of traffic.

I can’t comment on the commute but I have friends who live in Lancing. I can see why you would want to live there - it’s a lovely place. The sea is great and I like the fact that it is relatively unspoiled as it is not a resort.

So looks like 50 mins then. He was hoping for less as we've done the sweaty 60-90mins on London trains but has been used to 10mins recently.
