Perm to FTC whilst on mat leave?

I've been in my perm role for 3 years and am currently half way through my first mat leave. Just found out my role is becoming FTC on a rolling monthly basis as part of wider organisational changes - so no steady job to return to, it may even finish before I'm due back. Has anyone been through similar, or knows what my rights are here?

You need to confirm the details (is this definitely for current staff, not just new staff) and get advice on this. I am not an expert but I didn't think they could make changes like that to an existing contract. Plus you are on maternity leave so have rights there to return to an equivalent job. Have a look at ACAS.
