Present for a half marathon

My DP is running a half marathon soon, he’s training so hard and I wanted to get him a little
runners kit (he doesn’t run normally so he has running trainers and that’s all).
He doesn’t listen to anything when he’s running and his shorts have a little pocket built in. I no NOTHING about running, so wasn’t if there’s anything marathon (or half marathon!) runners swear by?

Chocolate Yazoo for the end of the run is my absolute favourite recovery drink.

And a medal hanger would be a fab gift if you think he might get the running bug.

Get some hydration salt tablets and make him drink one before and after he runs. I'm an endurance runner and I've never done any race where I dodnt see men think they'd "be fine" without hydration and fuel. He will most likely get round the course but will end up with cramp at some point, maybe during and maybe after. I never ever see women using races collapse or limp off to the sides because they were too arrogant to think training is only running 🤔
