when I was 12, my uncle came out as gay, I couldn’t for the life of me fathom why he needed to announce it, like he’s my uncle, he’s still the same guy, it doesn't matter who he loved, fancied, he’d still be him.
for years, even now, it still boggles me, especially in this day and age that LBGTQ community have to announce they are gay, just be you and that’s it, straight people don’t pull their family together and state they are straight so why should gay people…no one should be shamed for who they love, aswell as no one should be bothered by someone else’s love life, as long as they are happy… why is it anyone else’s business…
