Are these headphones too big?

17 year old - she thinks it looks silly, her mum thinks it looks ok, I’m 50/50. Her little brother says she looks like Mickey Mouse but he is always a brat so not listening to him 😁

She is very sensitive to noises so wants proper noise cancelling. This is Bose. She hates in ear buds. She tried a couple Sony ones and she preferred the NC feature on them but they were slipping back on her head.

Are these headphones too big?

We use several noise cancelling ones
heres my rating
Bose noise cancelling 6/10: good quality sound not brilliant n/c
airpod pros 7/10: good n/c, good quality sound
airpod max 10/10: amazing noise cancelling and sound they are massive but flat and are quite expensive

They're fine, I have similar and felt ridiculous until I got used to them but I love them now!

They look ok to me.

She looks fine!

I don’t like that type of headphone and in ear ones irritate my skin or fall out. My solution is to wear ear plugs and use bone conducting earphones from shokz. They hook over the ear and are very small. Im not bothered how I look so long as I can hear my music/podcast and blank out all other noise. Would that be a solution?

The more I look at the photo the more I think it looks fine as well.
She is using leftover Christmas money and has a John Lewis gift card so she isn’t looking at Apple as it’s way over her budget.

Thanks @Alphabet1spaghetti2 I’ll ask her to look at your suggestion but she is very bothered by the way she looks. Hence allowing that photo to be posted and asking for strangers comments!

if she does prefer the look of bone conducting headphones but not the look of ordinary foam squishy ear plugs (as bought at boots!), she may prefer the look of loop earplugs as they have a much more trendy appearance, however as she has long hair worn loose, I doubt anyone will notice either the headphones or any earplugs - my grey coloured headphones are almost invisible worn with my shoulder length Bob worn loose as opposed to tied up in a knot.

the expensive sony ones are amazing but heavy...so i can understand why didn't work did you try the level down.... they are much lighter ...found the bose not quite as good at noise cancelling as sony .... but if she finds yhem comfy they look good
