Thinking of getting one for DS who is struggling in the mornings (needs blackout blind in his room because of street light outside but doesn’t have the natural light to wake up with)

is it worth getting a secondhand from eBay or do the clocks tend to have a shelf life and I’d be better off buying new?
any recommendations for models?

I have the Bodyclock Glow 150. I have to wake up 5.45 am for work and this has definitely made it easier. I've had mine for two years and had no issues. Prices have gone up, though. I bought mine from John Lewis.

EBay for me but no bargains. They go for a good price but still cheaper than new. Lamp is approx 6.50 to replace.

I got a cheapie brand one on Amazon a few years ago, thinking I'd try it out before shelling out for a Lumie. Turns out the cheapie one is great so I still have it...

I have one that’s old now but I love it. It doesn’t wake me up - I still need an alarm (hate the built in one) BUT the combination of the light and the alarm helps me wake gently and in a much nicer mood than before. I’m not a morning person and really struggle especially in the winter

I've had mine about 7 years or so now. Not had to replace the lamp yet, replaced the plug recently though.

I'd buy again full price of I needed to because its brilliant but if you can get it cheaper then do so.

Don't buy their bulbs. They're exactly the same as normal ones apparently
