Moving to Christchurch with a young family

Hi, could anyone please add any advice / guidance on Christchurch and surrounds for young families? We have two sons (age 3.5yrs and 1.5yrs) and currently live near Winchester in Hampshire. We relocated here from London in 2020 and like the green space, slower pace but houses are super pricey & some of the schools are over-subscribed… So we’re looking at other areas to settle in which have amenities but also green space and bonus if the coast is nearby. In terms of amenities, leisure centres with children’s activities, adventure farms, nice play areas and a range of decent pubs / cafes is kinda where we’re at… Our budget is prob 700-800k and we’re ideally after a 4bed with driveway & reasonable garden. Is this possible in Christchurch area and surrounds? Are there parts which are nicer for families / near to schools etc? Also schools / nurseries which are recommended ? I’ve heard Bransgore a few times but never visited… any tips / advice would be so appreciated. Thanks for reading.

When you say some of the schools are over subscribed, what do you mean?
All good/popular schools will be over subscribed.
Do you mean you think you live too far away from them to get into?

(Just interested as I live 'near Winchester' too. I don't really know Christchurch.)

Probably a bit late with this reply sorry but we moved to Bransgore from London in 2020 and love it here! On the edge of the new forest, but only 10 mins from the beach. The village is v friendly a couple of lovely pubs and the school is excellent. We also like it’s not as crowded with tourists in summer as nearby Burley, highcliffe etc.
