What snacks

do you always have in your fridge?

Our fridge is generally empty because I freeze everything and then defrost ready for dinner.

I'm aware the children would like to grab food and snacks to keep them going. Fruit bowl always full.

What do you make sure you have available?

Smoothies
Yoghurt tubes
Peperamis
Snack cheeses
My children aren't huge snackers though, to be honest.

My fridge is always full (family of 7) so we don’t keep a huge amount of snacks in there but we do keep

Smoothies
yoghurts
dunkers
babybel
fruit

We have a big supple of snacks in the cupboards like
GoGo Squeez
Tortilla Chips
fruit strings
Graze oat squares
belvita
bear paws
popcorn
veggie straws
soreen mini loaves
lots of different spreads.

look up Jordan page on YouTube and look at her snack system- lots of good ideas.

I make sausage rolls once a month (they last a few days but it’s a good day when the big Tupperware is full!
We buy things like olives and yoghurts, cheese, berries, peperami, sliced meats. Houmus is a staple for the dds, they will have some pittas to dip in as a way of bridging the gap between getting home and dinner (we eat later than some).
in the cupboards are cereal bars, rice cakes, lentil crisps, regular crisps, biscuits, porridge bars (why don’t they just call them flapjacks 😂), just things I’d bung in a packed lunch box to top it up but they’re all there to help themselves to as and when.
Our fruit bowl is topped up and when stuff needs using up I chop it all up and make a sort of fruit platter, it seems to make it more appealing and is all gone within the day.

Nothing exciting in my fridge snack wise. Usually some olives or a bit of cheese and DD does like cucumber so normally have one in.

Milk
Cheese
Some fruit and veg
Butter

Nothing snack wise

There are some snacks in the cupboard, mainly for my teens such as kitkats, crisps and half a pack of biscuits.

In our house you can always have bread, peanut butter, cheese, fruit, plain yogurt, oats, milk.

None of these contain any processed ingredients or sugar so I didn't mind how much they had.

We don't keep a stock of crisps or sweets in the house, so that side was never an issue.

We have bread in the freezer for toast.

Crisps, yogurts, fruit, biscuits, cakes, cheese and crackers ( Dairylea type), Pot Noodles. Eldest likes microwave burgers.
