Weeing all the time

I know this is medical but posting here so more people will see. NC!
Yesterday I had a wee as normal in the afternoon, and then shortly after needed another one. To cut a long story short, I kept needing a wee every 5-10 mins and got very stressed about it. Went to the pharmacy and got some tablets with cranberry and things in and have been advised to take them for 5 days. Yesterday the weeing seemed to get better and I only needed to go once and didn't need to go in the night. Got up early today and had to force myself to go as I didn't need it, so I was quite happy. Now as the afternoon has progressed, my wees are getting closer together again. I don't understand. The first thing I thought was a UTI but so far no pain (touch wood), my wee is clear, and I am doing quite big wees whereas when I last had a UTI, I needed to go but couldn't actually pass much. I know increased urination can be a sign of diabetes but it came on out of the blue literally yesterday! I'm not exceptionally thirsty and not tired either. I don't know if it's an illness or all in my head. Period is due but I've never had this with it before.
Just to add I have a real fear of UTIs and any problems down there as a few years ago it didn't clear with antibiotics, and my results got mixed up with someone else so on my file it said I didn't have a UTI and doctors didn't want to know so I ended up with pain on and off for a few months. To further complicate matters, I'm on holiday and not in the UK 😩I just want some advice as I don't know whether this is psychological, a UTI, or something else!
