I countersigned my friend's son's renewal online last Tuesday and the new passport was with her on Friday.

I sent my daughters for a renewal at the start of the strikes and it was back within a week- very impressed!

Springingintosummer · 01/05/2023 16:15

waiting for one sent 2 weeks before strike started. Not sorted yet!

I sent four childrens applications the week before the strike, one arrived back in around 10 days but the other three I havnt heard anything at all. One was a first pp and three renewals, it was one of the renewals that arrived.

We got our children's first passports, sent the week the strikes tarted and arrived about a week later

minniemooblue · 01/05/2023 16:26

2 adult and 2 child renewals done online, during the strikes, took less than 2 weeks from application to passports being delivered.

My husband perks at a passport office and they're advising people it can take up to ten weeks, however it's taking approximately five weeks for a renewal IF there's no queries. It's always the queries and additional information needed that slow things down.

kellohitty · 01/05/2023 16:36

My son's came back within 3 weeks - I applied Easter Monday and no counter signature was needed.

Gunpowder · 01/05/2023 16:37

Three childrens renewals around the time the strike started. All took 11-12 days.
