We are going to Diggerland Yorkshire in a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend any other places in the area? In particular indoors in case we have a rainy day?

Ours liked Magna (Sheffield)
Or the coal mining museum

Xcape, just along the M62, has a ski slope, other attractions and is great fun.

Eureka in Halifax used to be good when my kids were younger. Not been for years though so unsure what it's like now

Mission Out in Tingley

Cannon hall farm in Barnsley

  • Few playgrounds, animals, huge soft play, picnic areas and food places, sheep racing!

Billy bobs at skipton - American diner, playground and massive play barns that you pre-book

Depending on ages and weather, Brimham rocks is good for a climb and picnic

Wentworth castle gardens - castle ruins, good playground, cafe and walks

Eureka - good if they're under 7 I'd say. It's a children's museum and tonnes to do. Near Halifax railway station if you fancied a change from driving.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of soft plays and trampoline parks around as well.

I second Eureka! I loved it as a kid as do my kids now. Even the slightly older ones still enjoy it.
