Such a long wait!!

My boss pulled me into the office on Monday to let me know that he was putting out an internal vacancy for a role I would love to do. He said he recognised my strengths and qualities and would like me to apply when the advert goes out. I am beyond excited and have been patiently waiting since Monday for the advert to drop. Nothing yet and the wait is killing me!
So far, I flick through emotions of pure joy, did I dream it, has he changed his mind, am I good enough back again to joy.
Anyone fancy waiting with me?

It's going to be a long weekend for me. No one will be emailing over the bank holiday so fingers crossed something happens on Tuesday.

Just had a quick check on work emails. Nothing yet but of course, it's the bank holiday :)
Hopefully something happens tomorrow! Trying not to get hopes up!

Fingers crossed it gets advertised tomorrow.

I'm the other side in that my old manager's job is up for grabs. I was encouraged by loads of people to go for it, so put my application in a week ago last Friday. No one expected anyone else to apply but there was one other application in the end. I haven't heard anything since the closing date, hopefully this week.

Nothing yet! Thinking about asking when I leave tonight.

They aren't advertising it on the website so I assume there's a chance I might get it? But who knows?! It was a bit of a long shot as I've only just started a couple of months ago.

He had a half day today (I didn't realise, otherwise I would have popped in and asked.) I shall continue waiting. I am starting to think I just made the whole thing up 😄

No word here either. The thing is, I'm not even expecting to be given it, but it's so rude not to have said anything about it. The ad came down weeks ago 👿 harrumph

It's all gone weird for me. The advert came out but it was quite different from what I was led to believe it would be. I queried it and think I annoyed by boss by doing so (it's got an added responsibility on top, same pay so not really a promotion)
Applied anyway as good experience. Advert closed today at midday and I've heard nothing. Never mind.
