Side turkey holiday

[Botheredland]

Not sure where to put this but I'm looking for places to go or things to do in Side in Turkey.
Never been before and have 3 children aged 1 to 12.
I've been told it's in the middle of nowhere but there must be places nearby that we can visit?
Any advice is much appreciated

Maybe look on facebook to see if there is a Side forum i have found out loads of info on the one for where we are going this year, cant help with Side as i have always gone to Marmaris in the past

MN has a Travel board. You can ask MNHQ to move this thread over to there?

Side is lovely, I wouldn't call it remote, although there are a lot of hotels along the coast.

The centre has amazing ruins and a bazaar. There are lovely restaurants and cafes.

Close to Side is Mavagat, it has a very modern shopping centre and market on certain days.

The dolmus (bus) is really easy and cheap, the road system is excellent as well. Just type Side walkaround in youtube to get a feel for the place. Much prefer to other areas in Antalya.

I went years ago and it was lovely. No traffic allowed really nice chilled resort but that was ooh.... 30 years ago
There's a Side group on FB. I'd have a look there.
