To stop being used.

How can I stop my sister in law using me/us?

She's a very crafty, manipulative person, and is always thinking and arranging stuff around her so things are made easy for her.

We used to be very close and have always got on to be fair. My DH & I supported her through her separation and was a shoulder to cry on throughout.

She made some new friends and basically dumped us. We didn't hear from her only when she wanted something. Now she fallen out with these friends and is in contact again as she's obviously bored and looking for company.

I'm happy with the little contact we have with her now and don't want to be used by her again as it hurt me the last time she dumped us.

Any advice appreciated.

Surely she's family and you support her I don't get the whole being used?

You can keep minimal contact with her. Just don't get into conversation with her, don't make plans with her. Turn down any invites, don't feel obliged to include her in your life because she's your SIL. I really dislike people who come calling only when they want something. Let her see you're not going to accept this a second time around.

Just be unavailable if you don't want to be friends with her.

Didn’t you post this same question yesterday? I answered on there… just don’t keep contact, back off and let DH deal with it. It’s his sister so you can’t stop him having contact with her if that’s what he wants but you don’t have to answer the calls, reply to the texts or invite her over for dinner
