Where do you buy your earrings from?

At the grand age of 46, I’ve finally had my ears pierced 😂

I’ve bought a couple of pairs of ‘going out’ earrings, but where do you buy sinple, high quality (but not too expensive) daily ones from?

Thank you!

I've bought a few nice pairs from Philip Jones (online). All been under a tenner.

I’ve landed lucky in Tk Maxx a few times -worth keeping an eye on if you have a local branch

Yes me too

Accessorise, Claire's, Marks and Spencers for everyday stud earrings.

Gemporia, they're all genuine gemstones in them too ☺️

Wow. Thank you. Lots of suggestions here.

Anyone know of places that sells the thicker bar to keep the piercing open while they’re still relatively new?

I'm 41 and finally decided to get mine pierced back in January this year.

I've bought a few new sets from solacejewellery.co.uk/

They are hypoallergenic and once I put some studs in from this place they started to heal quicker. My first piercings were White Gold but turns out my ears didn't like them.

Got some simple daily ones.

LudicrouslyCapaciousBag · 28/04/2023 07:13

I would stick to hypoallergenic while the piercings are new (and possibly beyond if you find that you have sensitive ears). Solace have a lovely range and are reasonably priced.

I’ve looked at some of these suggestions but I’m not seeing any but not too expensive) daily ones
Some are lovely…but seriously, £175!

Exactly 😂 hardly everday prices affordable for most. Maybe £20-50.

MathsNervous · 28/04/2023 07:27

Thanks for suggestion of M&S. I hadn't considered them before for everyday ones.

I have a few of gold plated silver ones from TK Maxx but find the gold plating wears off very quickly. Also have Monica Vinader and the plating doesn't seem to wear off at all.

Astrid and Miyu have some lovely ones.

DustyLee123 · 28/04/2023 07:31

I can only wear gold, but it’s so expensive these days.

Costco sell gorgeous gold jewellery for amazing prices. And the packaging is really lovely so it feels even more special. Buying is a faff though 🤷🏻‍♀️.
