No really chat or fun but I'm mildly panicked

That's a positive test.

Amberamethyst · 27/04/2023 20:28

Right it's 5 mins ago so should be stronger though?

2 congrats!

Eggseggseverywhere · 27/04/2023 20:29

A line is a line when of colour!

Cakencookieobsessed · 27/04/2023 20:29

No not necessarily, what dpo are you? They can be faint when you're testing a few days before missed period.

BarbieGirl999 · 27/04/2023 20:30

Two

VenusStarr · 27/04/2023 20:30

Isn't that an ovulation test?

supersonicginandtonic · 27/04/2023 20:31

Mine was faint at first and two days later much darker

Amberamethyst · 27/04/2023 20:31

I had my period as normal but for the first time in 20 years it lasted 2 days and was spotting only.

I can't be pregnant and still have a period even if way lighter surely

Soubriquet · 27/04/2023 20:31

Positive…I take it it’s not good news

Yep! You can. My mum had full periods with me all through her pregnancy

getafringenotbotox · 27/04/2023 20:33

Two! Congratulations

Amberamethyst · 27/04/2023 20:35

Yes it's an ovulation test but I thought they gave the same results?

I'll buying a proper test tomorrow.

I'm older than the average mum, 43

Bumble84 · 27/04/2023 20:36

You might just be ovulating then?

greyberry · 27/04/2023 20:38

There's 2 lines but it's not a positive ovulation test. For positive ovulation the test line needs to be as dark as or darker than the control. It could be a sign you're pregnant but it could just mean that you're not ovulating now so it's hard to tell x

Soubriquet · 27/04/2023 20:38

Ah ovulation tests aren’t accurate pregnancy tests. Wait until you get a proper test before you panic

NotCopingWell1 · 27/04/2023 20:39

If I did an ovulation test a couple of days after my period starting it would look like that.

It's only positive for ovulation when the line is super dark. Often we have some level of LH so you get a faint line all through your cycle. If it was super dark now and you'd just had this spotting I'd say it might be showing a pregnancy. But not faint.

overthinkersanonnymus · 27/04/2023 20:50

😂😂😂 you definitely should have said it was an ovulation test and not a pregnancy in the original post!

It's not a positive opk and you always have som LH in your system

Amberamethyst · 27/04/2023 20:59

So even though my period usually last 4/5 days with a very heavy flow and this time all
I had was spotting I'm most likely NOT pregnant?
Just need to process that!

When I was trying for my children in 30's I used ovulation sticks and they often indicated if I was or wasn't pregnant after period but that was a while a go!

There are definitely two lines. But an ovulation test us not totally reliable as a pregnancy test.

Also, I had a light period which came exactly when I it was due- I was pregnant with DD

Cakencookieobsessed · 27/04/2023 21:09

Sorry, thought it was a pregnancy test. A positive ovulation test has to have 2 lines the same colour. Just get a pregnancy test. Good luck

BarbieBacardi · 03/05/2023 12:09

Ovulation tests can detect pregnancy but not super accurate. Used one with my last as was all I had to hand at the time. We did go get a proper pregnancy test after though just to be 💯 sure. Hope you get the result you're wanting whether pos or neg 🫣

Frantastical · 03/05/2023 16:20

Personally I wouldn't class 2 days light spotting as a period. I'd say it's highly likely something else. Early signs of pregnancy maybe or depending on how long you and your partner have been together it could be signs of an STI. Get yourself into your gp for a test and a health check ✔️

Sophieloo · 03/05/2023 17:23

Forget how long you have been together. I was with my ex husband almost 9 years and that's how I caught him cheating.

Alloveragain3 · 03/05/2023 17:47

If pregnant, this can cause a positive ovulation test. This ovulation test isn't even close to positive. Mine look like this even when on my period.
