Games night ideas

Shamelessly looking for ideas for my games night!

I've had the lightbulb idea of hosting a little games night for 4 adults tomorrow night but my collection consists of monopoly and top of the pops 😂

Can anyone recommend any board games I can pic up from Argos or somewhere like that?

We've done cards against humanity to death as well 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Heroicallyfound But if you enjoyed FI/FD, you should try Pandemic. And if you like that, you should play "Pandemic: Legacy", but that's not something for a casual game-night. AMAZING experience, though.

I can’t cope with any mentions of pandemics! #traumatised 😂

@Heroicallyfound It's OK, in the game you're a group of scientists etc who beat a global pandemic (it was published long before Covid). Unless you fail, of course.

And Pandemic: Legacy is 12-24 linked games of Pandemic where the rules change between games, and you either save the world or see it burn...! (There are several 'seasons' of it, too. We played S1 and S2 as a family with our teens, really really great games.)

Codenames is exceptional! We’ve played it with all our friends and everyone is hooked.

Oh and The Chameleon is really fun if there’s at least 4 of you

There's a brilliant game in home bargains for £5, its questions from the 80s and 90s. I can't remember off the top of my head what it's called but it's a big box and only a fiver.

Tension is also a great game and you can buy it from Argos.

Ask your guests to bring along games they enjoy - that way you can all have fun and not go bankrupt

We do a family games night to get the generations together, once a month or so. By far the most fun is Bullseye.

Another vote for Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne.

I'd also suggest Camel Up and Tsuro.

I love a beetle drive!
