Hello, I did some weeding over lunch break and noticed these little insects on my rose. Does anyone know how to get rid of them?

You've got yourself a very healthy crop of aphids there. Horticultural soap will get rid of them. It's made from plant oils that the aphids don't like, and doesn't have any harmful chemicals.

Water with plenty of washing up liquid does just as well.

Grrrr aphids... do you also have some black ugly beetle like insects?

They are Ladybird larvae and will eat them- so please be careful what you use to get rid of them.

Make your own spray with a pint of (black) tea and a spoonful of washing up liquid. Spray liberally.
If there are only a few you can just squish them.

This is the best environmental option! Round up your ladybirds.

If you can also attract blue tits to your garden they will eat them for you. I have gone out one day, noticed aphids and been busy so gone out the next day to deal with them and they’ve all been eaten by the birds.

Ants farm the aphids and will keep the ladybirds away.

Don't use washing up liquid as it's a detergent. Horticultural soap really is the way to go.
