Cheapest way to park long stay at Gatwick

Any recommendations for cheap long stay parking at Gatwick? I'd normally take the train as hate having to drive to the airport, but return flight will be in late evening and there's no way anyone could collect me from the station at that hour, so going to have to drive and pay to park. Official airport parking looking to be about £150, but is there something just as good and cheaper (where they won't wreck my car).

We find it cheaper to book a hotel the night before that includes free parking if that's an option for you?

At the south terminal, if you turn left almost immediately after turning into the Gatwick turn off, there's a one level outside long stay car park that isn't exorbitant .... can also wait there for free for up to 2 hours to collect people/drop off. Saves the £5 drop off fee.

Could possibly, though don't need to be there the night before, so bit inconvenient (flight leaves at about 8pm and really need to be at home with kids the night before), but something to consider. Though would probably pay more to avoid that inconvenience.

Purple parking are usually the cheapest as long as you don't mind a 15 minute bus ride to the terminal. We've used them several times and they're efficient and well organised.

My idea is rubbish then @mindutopia Grin Go with Purple parking but don't be stupid like some people me and remember to write down where you park, their sites are massive
