Stood on needle!?

So this is very odd but when I got home after walking through a wooded area I noticed my foot hurt under neigh when I took my shoe off I had a tiny lump and a red prick like spot which is bleeding when squeezed.. so what are the chances I stood on a needle? It’s on the bottom of my foot but more to the side if that makes sense? I was wearing converse.

I think it's far more likely to have been a thorn which has gone through the bottom of the shoe if you were in a wooded area, but I guess there's no way to be 100% certain?

I would just antiseptic it and keep an eye.
