Morning. I was wondering if someone could help please.
We are starting our DC on weaning - purred veg. I puréed a carrot which DC tried two days ago. We froze the rest in ice cube trays.
I want DC to try the puréed carrot again today. I popped out one of the frozen carrot cubes last night and it’s been in the fridge over night to defrost.
Now I am confused. I have read I shouldn’t take the puréed carrot out the fridge and leave on the side. Therefore my options are:
- Do I feed the puréed carrot to Dc at fridge temp?
- Can i leave the puréed carrot on the side for any period of time and then serve at room temperature to Dc?
- Should I re heat puréed carrot straight from fridge. If yes do I do on hob? We don’t have a microwave but will buy one today if essential.
I find it confusing as online suggestions you can’t leave any purees of the fridge at all, yet it also says purees is best served at room temperature.
Help! Sorry!
