Can't use WhatsApp today??

I'm trying to send a message. I type a few words, then a small strip of emojis pops up covering the previous message, the screen is jumping around and then another pop up appears saying "you can now swipe right on a message to reply" which doesn't go away and obscures my typing.

What can I do to sort this out?

Shut the app and try restarting your phone, see if that works

It sounds like it's glitching as normally you can swipe right on a message to react or type a reply. You can also just type in the grey bar
