I’ve clearly won the Euromillions

I’ve just seen an email saying to log in to see news about my ticket, but I can’t log in as they’re doing site maintenance or something. I’ve clearly won haven’t I?
I think they said it was £95 million or something, so should be enough to keep me going for a bit…
Any ideas what I should do first? (And paying the gas/electricity bill doesn’t countHmm)

I used to get excited whenever I got those emails, until I noted my numbers and would check myself.

I think I read on here that if it's a substantial amount, you get told in the email the amount, is that correct?

I believe it now says ‘higher tier’ if a big win, but not 100 percent.

I thought I’d replied to this but can’t have pressed post amidst all the drama - basically I was so excited I fell asleep! But woke up to find I’d won the princely sum of £5.20 - the rest of my millions are obviously waiting for Friday’s draw! 😬🤔

I love those moments between getting the email and checking your account. It's a kind of Schrödinger's Lottery. You are both a millionaire and not a millionaire at the same time until you look inside and then the reality becomes fixed.
But sadly you've only won £2.80.

I didn't know you could sign up for emails- I just scanned my ticket on my phone. How do you do ot ? I hope they dont contain too much identification if you're a big winner though- my Ds is studying Cybersecurity & says emails are hugely insecure.

I do the lottery online. I don't buy tickets in shops.
The email you get says 'You're a winner,' or something like that, and tells you to check your account, that's all. There's no personal information in the email.

Exactly - I play online as I’m terrified of losing my multi million pound winning ticket, and they email and tell you to check the account. It was down overnight on Tues, hence my delayed excitement- all for £5.20…
I do Lucky Dip so I’ve no idea what the numbers are, so that doesn’t help.
Good news anyway - I’ve remembered to book my ticket for Friday. Obviously that £118 million is mine but it does help to buy a ticket Grin

I checked my numbers on Tuesday, no matches. However woke up on Wednesday to a winning email, initial thoughts "we've won the millionaire maker" as I never check the code. Turns out I was checking Fridays draw with Tuesdays lucky dip!! Still won about £8!

I wonder if those who buy the physical ticket, and who win on the millionaire maker code, sometimes miss it? Easy to do this? Can you imagine?!
