Please help me choose a sideboard...with pics.

Me again with another sideboard questions! I know it's boring and I'm giving it too much thought, I just can't decide at all what I like and think I may end up with nothing at all. For anyone who saw my previous thread, I returned the sideboard as it was very grey (I wanted cream), even more so in person.

I really need to buy something as I'm fed up of looking and think I've looked at every possible sideboard. I initially fancied black (not my style at all), then decided if prefer cream. I've now decided I quite like the wood!

I'd love some help.

I've attached a pic of part of my living room. It's quite neutrla really, in the sense that the carpet is beige and walls are off white, sofa is cream. I think most things will match.

I have also attached a pic of a few of my living room accessories; lamps, diffuser and side table.

I've narrowed it down a bit...so which of these sideboards do you think will go best? Do you hate them both? Any other suggestions would also be appreciated!

Thank you so much in advance. I'm far too indecisive.

Please excuse typos and when I said "both" sideboards I actually ended up attaching 4!

I like the second one (or the first)

Mykingdomforanap · 25/04/2023 23:54

Not the swoon ones.

i like the king ham one but if you want the cox and cox I usually find I can find the things they sell cheaper else where with a quick google.

LadyLolaRuben · 25/04/2023 23:57

Kingham

elm26 · 25/04/2023 23:58

Love the third one!

QueenSmartypants · 25/04/2023 23:59

They all go, but looking at your other pics I think the cox and Cox or the swoon one with the mirror over it will look best.

Mykingdomforanap · 26/04/2023 00:04

Kingham for £700 you can also get it for £400 on eBay which might be factory seconds or could be returned orders.

The first one - Kingham

Redebs · 26/04/2023 00:11

That is VERY stylish!

sharpchrome · 26/04/2023 00:24

I don’t like any of those enough to spend that much money on them. kingham is ok, but I would have to change the handles.

I hate like the striped textures of the others (you’d get bored of it and want to replace sooner).

I like the clean silhouette of the southwark one, but you’d need to view in person to get an idea of the drawer cut outs - could look cheap in person.

I would go for a floating/wall mounted one instead. Similar aesthetic to southwark but without the legs essentially! My examples aren’t great, remember you can get the size/wood finish you desire.

IDK, I'd think with your neutral walls and the accessory pics you attached that a darker wood would look nicer. Not 'dark dark', but more of a warm tone.

What colour is your dining set or other furniture in the room?

noodlezoodle · 26/04/2023 00:36

I like them all except the second one. Love the third one but wonder if that look will date more than the others. Think the first is the most timeless.

VegemiteSammich · 26/04/2023 03:07

I vote Cox and Cox

the staging furniture looks a lot like what you already have in your home

Nomoreminieggs · 26/04/2023 09:26

Thank you all. It's great having opinions, although I appreciate we all have different tastes and some of you may not like my choices.
I think I like the Kingham because it is a bit more plain. In the sense it won't date as much as the others and if I go off the style, it's inoffensive.
Swoon- top runner but I never would have seen myself choosing it, so worry I'll go off it or it will date.
Cox and Cox I like but I wonder if the colour of the wood is a bit light for my living room and not sure it'll match as well as the others?
The last one I'm not sure I'm as keen on as the others.

Argh, I just need to order one!
