I had an interview yesterday for a role which was attended by two team leads for two different projects as well as a member of HR. The interview was largely spent with the two team leaders describing their respective projects and the differences between them, as they are both recruiting for the role.
I got told that they would be in touch.
Today I had an email from HR asking whether I had any preference for a particular project. I wasn't sure how to answer as I didn't want to say I preferred project A if project A didn't want me, if that made sense. But I replied and said they both sounded great, but I had a slight preference towards project A which is the truth.
Do you think this sounds promising or is it likely I would have been asked this regardless of how the interview went?
