Hi, hope you dont mind me (he/him) starting a thread here. I'm coming up short on special ideas for my partner as she is going to have a thyroid gland (goiter) removed soon. She will need a couple of weeks recovery so I will be taking a few days off work and will then work from home for a week so I can help out with getting kids ready, school runs, cooking, shopping, baths, play, going out etc, etc.
I'm hoping that I may get a few ideas/tips on what I could do or get for her, whether it be medicinal, recreational (within limits as she has to take it easy), fun, relaxing, etc. I know she loves having her feet done but I have a thing about feet (I absolutely hate them 🤮), perhaps I could book someone to come to us rather than haul all the kids out to town.
It might be that someone here has gone through this procedure and can provide useful insights or recommendations.
I'm going to arrange a facetime for when she comes out of the theatre and has settled and have flowers on stand by but I tend to only come up with great ideas when it's too late!
