Can I get my passport in my maiden name?

I'm currently going through a divorce but I need to renew my passport. My old passport is in my maiden name but I've since married and I am now getting divorced. Do I need to apply in my married name and then get a new one once the divorce is finalised (should be in September) or can I use my maiden name?

You can just use your maiden name. Given your old passport is already in that, you don't have to say anything. I've been married for nearly 20 years but haven't changed any of my documents to my married name. I simply did nothing and no one bothers me about it.
