Cost of living payment?

Hi,

im just checking… people around me recieve a text message to say they were getting their cost of living payment. They received their payment today. I’m in no means depending on the payment whatsoever but I’m just wondering why I didn’t receive a text message? I’m definitely entitled to the payment but just can’t work out why I didn’t get the text message? I didn’t receive any payment today which I wasn’t expecting to anyways as I know it can be weeks yet. Is anyone else in the same boat? Or didn’t recieve a text but got the payment today?

They are going in over the next few weeks not all on a set date

You'll receive the payment between 25th April and 17th may.

Guys… I know that the payments are made between those two dates. I said above I wasn’t expecting anything today as I know that’s not realistic. It was to ask if anyone who didn’t recieve the text from dwp about receiving cost of living payment was still eligible to get it xx

I got a text last Tuesday at 5pm. It just said cost of living payments will go in between 25th April and 17th May. It didn't say I was getting it, just seemed to be a generic text, didn't mention my name etc. I know am definitely eligible for it but haven't yet received it.

I got the text.

There was one we weren't entitled to we fucking were but UC are useless dicks and we did not get the text for that one.

If you're in UC, it's likely they have fucked up.
They have screwed is over by about £1000 so far this year.
They are fucking awful.

We didn't get a text for the last ones but still got it. Haven't had a text this time either but should get it. I think both times last time it went in on the 2nd day

It's possible. No system is foolproof. I'm sure some people get missed.

Check here if you got any of the qualifying benefits during the required period.

I'm on the tax credits system and I've had a letter saying the payments are going to be made between the 2nd and the 9th of May. No text message.

If your on tax credits not universal credit you will get it later. We are still on tax credits and didn't get a text, but did get a letter last week saying we would be getting it.

Can I just ask to those who have received the payment, whether the payment only goes in overnight or whether it can just appear in your bank account during the day? Thanks

Furious is an understatement.

I have called them nigh on 50-60 times this year. The amount of "journal" entries I have made and been ignored.

No one knows why we weren't paid.

We should have got £600 one month because my husband was out of work due to a sudden onset of illness (he's fine now thankfully) and they gave us £14 because they said I did not input there was a failure with the childcare section of it.

It never got resolved and now they are claiming too much time has passed there for I'm "late" with giving them the childcare costs.

even though they could see that I had input it on time. But no one knows what went wrong.

Fucking idiots. I absolutely hate them and resent having to use them.

during the period of entitlement, the first section of that month I was getting tax credits then it switched over to UC.

Tax credits didn't issue the cost of living payment because we switched.

uc wouldn't give us the cost of living payment because we weren't with them the full month of entitlement.

Fucking bastards. I hate them.

We didn't get it because of a Nil payment. It was very annoying but that is life I suppose. Guess they have to have cut off points though.

If we had a nil payment then I'd have nothing to complain about.

But we didnt. We were entitled to benefits for
the entirety of the assessment period.

It won't go in during the day. It'll go in overnight. That depends on your bank really though. Usually it's about 12:00am-12:30am or around 3am.

you just said you get tax credits that's why you didn't get the UC text. So do you get ESA pip abd tax credits?
