Which is the best 'own brand' tomato ketchup?

We used to get Heinz but way too expensive now.

Usually would get Aldi own brand, but the Aldi near us has been out of stock for several weeks.

Tried the Tesco cheapy one - and it was indescribably terrible - and had to go straight in the bin!

We buy ALDI’s Bramwell ketchup, closest we have found to Heinz. Lidl’s our DS didn’t like at all. Sainsbury’s, way too sweet. Heinz is such a crazy price we won’t buy it now.

They all taste the same to me.

Many thanks for all the ideas here. As people say - it is subjective! It's really for my son/DH mostly - so have got the M and S one yesterday....watch this space to see if it is liked.

I can't stand the M&S one. Tesco is bearable.

Sainsburys do a “regular” one and an organic one and I buy either of them rather than the Heinz version.

Hellman’s is good and more than half the price of Heinz.

I like coop own brand but it's quite sweet

Why is Heinz always considered the golden standard when it’s nothing special?

None of 'em are as good as Heinz, imo. So, I don't bother.

I still buy Heinz and just use a bit less of it.
