Hi. I've suffered from migraines most of my adult life. Yes, you can feel bad for days afterwards. I also have the flashing lights, pounding headache and at times nausea, numb hands and slurred speech.
My symptoms have improved as I've got older but I've also looked into diet. I don't have any stimulants - wine, cheese, chocolate and caffeine. Boring I know, but it's helped - especially the caffeine.
Hope you feel better soon.

Yes, definitely. After a bad one it can last several days. Sympathy, OP.

Yes. What you have described is exactly what I experience. Like another thread here, I also occasionally get numbness/paralysis and the thought of having to go in a car to a&e or anywhere else during an attack makes me nauseous just thinking about it. But do go to your go, medications have improved a lot recently.

Yes. It's called the postdrome.

Is this normal for you?
If not I think it would be a good idea to check you haven't had a TIA as that's exactly what my friend described when she has one.

Having said that I always feel washed out the day after I've had a migraine. I described it as like when you've had a really bad graze on your knee as a child. And it isn't really hurting the next day but you're aware that if you knock it, then the pain will come back with vengeance.
