He has died aged 78 after a short illness. Sad. Enjoyed his comments on Strictly.

Oh how sad RIP Len, loved all his chat when judging on Strictly.

Sad news. Never watched Strictly but saw him in a series of holiday programmes, always seemed such a happy and positive man.

He died of bone cancer. 78 doesn't seem that old (11 years past state retirement age). All the amazing opportunities he had in the past 20 years on the back of Strictly. A reminder to seize opportunities throughout life and not just when you're young.

Sad news that one, I don't watch strictly but the bits I saw I liked him and from other shows

Sad to see him pass, loved him as a Strictly judge.

I've watched Strictly since the very start, Len Goodman made the show what it was. He was a great character, and will be missed.

RIP and thoughts for his family and friends.

Oh that is sad! I liked him as a judge, he always found something positive to say but knew his stuff as well and didn't just waffle on incoherently enjoying the sound of their own voice (looking at you, Bruno and Motsi!)
