I bought a piggy bank from a charity shop a few years ago, not because I wanted a piggy bank but because I thought it was a cute ornament. When I got home l discovered it had a signature on its base, so was actually worth a bit in itself. I decided that this dignified figure deserved a dignified job and to use it as intended as Keeper Of The Funds from my paltry attempts to sell things on FB Marketplace. Not something I've ever been particularly successful at but it all helps and the odd £30 I've saved before has been useful towards a treat like a night out. Anyway, I've not bothered counting up what I've been selling for a while now as it's been few and far between. But tonight after selling a pair of shoes for a fiver, pushing the note into the slot I felt a bit of resistance so decided to count out what is in there... £260!!! I'm over the moon, I've had a recent unexpected expense which I was worried about and this will go half way towards meeting that bill. But I also think I might treat myself to a little something. But I'm not sure what. Any ideas of something cheap but lovely I can spend on? Has anyone else had an unexpected little windfall? What did you do with it?
